I am so happy! Is this normal or am I having really good luck ?
I made Giant Squid, Got LOTD yesterday and just got my first purple star!!!!!!
Does this happen autimaticly after you are a Giant or am I having a good luck streak? I am never lucky so I am really really happy! I love SQUIDOO!

Nope, that doesn't come along with being a Giant. That means you've got something super special going on. 
I've been a Giant for about a year and a half now. I do have 1 purple star, but I've never had a LOTD.

Thank you! I have been feeling really icky lately..so it is a big boost for me! I really needed this. I sold a sculpture today too! Not sure if it a result from the lens or not? Maybe things are just picking up! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Getting LOTD is certainly not a standard part of becoming Giant. It means that somebody was really impressed with your work.
The purple star isn't standard either. But it's possible that in your pre-Giant days somebody may have already had an eye on your lenses and was just waiting for you to make Giant so that they could nominate you. I got my first purple star very soon after becoming a Giant as well.

Sometimes Squidoo gets sticky, but things are loading fine for me right now. That's odd!
artbymichelle -- congrats! Purple Stars, Giant status, and LOTD are all independent of each other. Of course, those who appoint new Giants may see the worth of some of your lenses and decide to nominate them for something, but I've never seen all three hit at the same time before. Well done!

I've just made Giant and got a purple star, and that made me happy enough, but LOTD as well- wow! I'm still dreaming about getting that someday!

Well, it just so happens that the same people that give out Purple Stars are also the Giant Leaders.
However, that doesn't mean you would get a Purple Star and certainly not mean you would have a LOTD.
All those things at once? That means you really impressed the powers that be!!

It means you write great lenses. I made Giant and got a couple of Purple Stars almost immediately after but I will never have a LOTD so no, it's not standard at all.

My day keeps getting better! I think I want to marry squidoo! I just had the lens go into tear 1. I never had a lens in tier one before!
Will that go back down? Is it becuase of the LOTD the other day?
