Ebay on location coming to a city near you. Anyone planning to attend?

Ebay has decided to host several smaller live events rather that one huge event beginning this year. I think it is because the last one that was held in Chiagao in 2008 didn't get the attendance they were expecting. The first "ebay on location" is scheduled to take place in February in Atlanta, Georgia on MArch 19-20th 2010 and will be a travelling road show ending in San Jose California in August 2010.

I would like to attend one of the conferences since it seems that this is the only way to give feedback to someone from ebay that is located in North America. Have you noticed that whenever you call the ebay support line you always get someone located in the Phillipines? And they have the gall to lie and say they are located in the U.S. These somewhat trained agents are far removed from us and haven't got a clue about the problems faced by sellers here in North America. Everytime I call I get the runaround and it takes a long time to resolve a problem.

I am discouraged since I still want to continue selling on ebay. This is the only venue where I am making consistant sales wherby I can finance my new online webstore, www.thewishpearl.com. I have recently qualified for bronze powerseller and don't want to give up selling on ebay, however with the direction ebay is taking with the more stringent rules and the constant hiking of fees, it is becoming more and more difficult to succeed

Re: Ebay on location coming to a city near you. Anyone planning to attend?

I am thankful that I have only had to contact the Help! a couple of times. Congratulations on being a Bronze seller. I have an Etsy store as well as ebay. No matter which store I load up with items I always get my sale on eBay. I have almost closed the store but being on Squidoo helps cover the slow months.

Thanks for the info. I almost never read their newsletters.

I would love to but unfortunately, they're not visiting Canada.
