Magicality, I salute you!

First of all, I want to take the opportunity to thank you for the Dashboard FF extension. I really liked it. I didn't use ALL the features, but I really liked the total $. It let me know at any given time whether or not I had made a sale.

A shame it doesn't work with the new dashboard. But thank you for the effort you put in and being proactive.

Secondly... his lens http://www.squidoo.com/HTMLtricks

I've been familiar with HTML and CSS long before I started at Squidoo and was already using bold, inserting images, hyperlinks and a few other things. But it was Mr Magicality who showed me that you could sneak in a color via the bold tag.

That opened a whole new world of opportunity, and I went off and cooked up all sorts of goodies after learning this simple little trick.

So here's a cheers to Magicality, a true pioneering lensmaster.

Me too....Me too....
Magicality, I want to also thank you for the Dashboard Extension! Just like Glen, I didn't toggle all of the fabulous options you created; but boy I sure used the display lens number, show totals, and show averages!  I really really miss them too sad

Re: Magicality, I salute you!

Got some news around that ... I'll probably be releasing a new version with just the totals & averages later today ...
Next will be the rating counts
And then royalty stats
Or vice versa, doesn't really matter

Stay tuned ;-)

And thanks for the cheers :-D

I used a lot of the features of the DE and I miss it terribly.  As someone with a lot of lenses, it turned a lot of management tasks into things that could be handled at a glance.  The row of averages at the top of the list had to be some of my faves, along with the color labeling.  And it let you hide a lot of stuff that you didn't need just sitting around on the dash, taking up space.

Thanks for putting so much hard work into making something that's really useful!

Re: Magicality, I salute you!

Just an FYI that the version 0.2.0 is not yet available to download from either mozilla or his .be site.

I'll watch for it, but if anyone else notices the new version could let us all know, that would be fantastic.

Way to go Magicality!!  smile

Re: Magicality, I salute you!

Yes, it is available, at http://www.hawkfield.be/squidoo/extensions/ (that is unless I'm hallucinating and haven't actually installed it).

Make sure you've added that site to the ones allowed to install firefox extensions or it work work, also I'm sure lots of people are trying to download it today so that may slow things down on the server.

Re: Magicality, I salute you!

The new version is available.  I downloaded right after Magicality posted and said it was up, which was now about 3 and a half hours ago.

I had uninstalled the add-on in preparation for the new dash. And I'm so glad to see that an update is already available. I've downloaded it and voila! My numbers are back! Love it!
